[ When he sees her later, his response will be enthusiastic, at least by his standards. Debatable whether they get to the food before it goes cold or not. They might be distracted with...other things. ]
[ oh, it will definitely be enthusiastic. and the food will be cold. thankfully by now they've found some kind of microwave option, whether in their apartment or someone's in the hall.
they'll make it work. it'll be worth it. and maybe his socks will get mended, too. :) ]
